Welcome to House of Healing! We are so happy you are here and connecting with us to seek wellness through our Live Streams, Media Library, and Live Events. Your “house” could be your home or an outdoor space or really anywhere you choose. Ultimately, regardless of where you practice, your house of healing is a place that is both universal (as we all have one) and unique: your body. Every practice is an invitation home to you.
We want you to feel right at home wherever you practice with us. In fact, House of Healing was created with the sole purpose of helping you feel happy, healthy, and whole. We believe movement should be challenging and fun while remaining non-competitive, engaging, therapeutic, and accessible for all. We believe that this is your practice and that yoga, Pilates, & movement really are what you make them. Our teachers pull from a variety of yoga lineages, movement theories, and mindfulness techniques to curate classes that will provide you with opportunities to connect with the strength, resilience, and peace within you.
There are several ways to practice with us.
Hi! I am Natalie. House of Healing is my endeavor, but is OUR space for community. It is our wellness collective. I am so glad you are here!
Though I've always been interested in wellness, my enthusiasm for arming others with health and healing information was fueled by a breast cancer diagnosis at age 36. After genetic testing showed no abnormalities, my cancer was determined to be environmentally linked. Diagnosis was followed by a long list of surgeries, chemotherapy, and numerous hospitalizations.
So when the dust settled after treatment, I found myself feeling physically wrecked, emotionally unsettled, and spiritually disconnected. My "house" needed some renovations. It took time and effort to piece myself back together physically, to feel at home in my own body, and to feel vibrant, healthy and whole.
Though there was no singular ‘magic bullet’, yoga played a huge role in helping me heal. It continues to be a powerful technology for wellness for me. So, of course I want to share the power of yoga with others! You'll find everything from energizing yoga flows (with a little Pilates peppered in) to super restorative practices here.
Over time, I realized that my consistent practices for sustainable wellness fell into four categories. These practices have become my foundation for health.
Rhythm - Rest - Restoring Digestive Health - Reducing Toxic Burden
Each pillar provides many benefits, but combining all four pillars optimizes pathways to restored vitality.
I am a wife and a mom. Cooking, hiking, and painting are some of my hobbies, and laughing is my favorite thing in the world! I am both a Pilates instructor and a registered adaptive therapeutic yoga teacher (ERYT500). I hold a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics and an MsED in Science Education. I love using yoga, Pilates, nutrition education, and the application of self-care techniques to help others create sustainable wellness in their lives.
